    Verdict

A handful of these can be given chances but Norton may just be able to gain some compensation for some near misses of late. He will be hard to beat if he can force himself into a prominent position early on, and his game attitude guarantees that he will not go down without a fight. His jockey knows him well and takes 7lb off his back. He just gets the nod over Zonergem today as it is doubtful weather this track will bring the best out of Lady Herries¿ charge, and it may not be the best policy to jump on the bandwagon if another gamble materializes on the five-year-old today. He needs to be delivered with a precision run off the back of a strong pace, and has to have everything drop just right for him to prevail. Watch out for him at Goodwood later in the season. Vicious Knight and Duke Of Modena also make plenty of appeal, whereas those towards the bottom of the weights have plenty to find on balance.
