    Verdict

Clive Brittain has his string in good heart at present so Bint Doyen has to be respected having run well when chasing home Exceedthewildman at Lingfield last month but she needs to improve on that effort to win this and a better bet looks to be PIPETTE, who gets the vote on her reappearance with Clarietta rated the best of the rest. The selection won well first time out as a two-year-old when landing a Salisbury maiden and lost no caste in defeat subsequently when narrowly beaten by Electric Feel in a listed race at Newbury. Provided that she has trained on from two to three, Andrew Balding's filly looks the one they all have to beat. John Gosden's Clairvoyance stepped up from a promising debut run when taking a maiden over course and distance last month and she has to be considered, while Walter Swinburn's Bella Swan showed a decent level of form last term and cannot be ruled out on her first outing as a three-year-old. David Elsworth's Myplacelater is readily discounted and of more interest is John Dunlop's Clarietta, who was highly tried as a juvenile having won her maiden and a nursery in good fashion. She has to be respected on her reappearance but there may well be more to come from Pipette and she gets the vote.
