Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

SOUTHFIELD ROYALE reverts to novice company after a couple of runs in competitive handicaps. He is also reunited with the champion jockey, who was on board when he won a bumper at Market Rasen last summer and a novice hurdle at Fontwell in November so is expected to get back to winning ways. It's being kind to suggest Go West Young Man is a little quirky and he'll no doubt find a way to get beaten again today. Blue Bear won at Plumpton earlier this month but probably has something to find against the selection off level weights. Gabriella Rose was in good form prior to her run a Listed race at Sandown in February, however, and rates a threat.
