Plenty catch the eye in a novices event which should prove informative. John Ferguson sent out the four-year-old Aqalim to land this 12 months ago and WATERLORD can follow suit. The form of his bumper fourth at Cheltenham last month is already working out well and he's sure to have had plenty of schooling. Clayton ran very well on his hurdling debut at Ascot and should have plenty more to offer and Lac Leman should do better this season. Instant Karma, Ebadani and Cobham's Circus are all potentially useful recruits from the Flat and Christmas Twenty and Movie Legend have already shown ability over timber.
