        Verdict

Tom Tun may be capable of scoring here with Steel Blue and Indian Spark the pair we fear the most. The 9-year-old is not getting any younger but he put up a cracking effort when second behind Quito at York last time. That was a really good effort and if he can reproduce that here then the old boy could be capable of going in. Steel Blue won well when defeating Johnston's Diamond at Ripon last time, but he was well-drawn on that day and was fortunate to race on the faster ground. He had disappointed prior to that effort at Ripon and as it could be dangerous to take the form of that Ripon win at face value we are happy to oppose him here. Indian Spark is on a handy mark and ran with great credit on this track last time when fourth behind Racoon. He will have no problems with this extra furlong and is certainly one to consider. Of the remainder, Danecare is well drawn and could go well, but for the winner we return to Tom Tun.
