In depth

Verdict

Overwing made a pleasing debut and could be the one to follow here, with Our Shelia and Howards Prince rated as the main dangers. The selection is a scopey sort who really caught the eye back in third on her racecourse bow at Newbury. She is sure to come on for that debut run and she should take plenty of beating. Our Shelia stepped-up on her debut effort when a good second behind Welcome Approach last time at Musselburgh. She is going the right way and if she improves again then she should make the frame. Howards Prince was hampered in that race won by Welcome Approach and there is every chance that he will again run his race. He may try and lead from pillar to post and he is entitled to go close. Maison Dieu is an interesting newcomer from the Howard Johnson yard and is worth noting in the market, but for the winner we will stick with Overwing.
