Class Is Class had already run twice when landing this a year ago and his two subsequent starts were in Group 3's on soft ground. He should win some good races this year but the lack of race fitness may count against him in this very competitive event. Al Zir is another who should be up to scoring at a higher level but the Derby sixth may be better over further than he faces today. Forte Dei Marmi didn't look suited to the track at Chester and should do better but this can go to SPANISH DUKE. John Dunlop's charge has had plenty of experience but looked very progressive when landing a strong Epsom handicap a month ago and can take advantage of his fitness against rivals who may just need the run.
