Verdict

Dual hurdles and five-times Flat winner Ancient Sands makes his debut over fences and is one to note but Captain Canada is taking his time to warm to chasing and hasn't run since December. The Job Is Right, a Grade 3 winner over timber, was beaten a long way on his chasing debut at Punchestown but will have learned from that though he was pulled up in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham, the race won by today's rival VERY WOOD. The winner, who has scored between the flags, couldn't complete a Grade 1 double at Punchestown but looks an exciting prospect over the bigger obstacles and has been found a reasonable start. The Parishioner has produced his best form over hurdles on fast ground so will have conditions in his favour while the lightly-raced Shesaportrait made a promising chasing debut over a trip too short at Killarney.
