Verdict

This is a big day for Philip Hobbs and the Withycombe trainer will be hoping that Irish points winner Allthekingshorses, who looks the pick of his three entries in this opener, can get his team off to a winning start. But Paul Nicholls saddles a similar type in ROCKY CREEK, who gets the vote. The five-year-old's victory at Carrigtwohill looks decent form and he is sure to have been well schooled over timber. Lovcen is another interesting convert from the Irish point-to-point scene, while Camas Bridge is sure to improve for the switch to hurdles having been sent off favourite for a Fontwell bumper in February. Briefcase and Grand Vision have already gone close over timber and look the best of those with experience.
