In depth

Verdict

A trappy sprint handicap to finish the Epsom card, but we'll give another chance to Tony The Tap to bring home the money, with Intriguing Glimpse and Imperium others for the shortlist. Imperium beat Intriguing Glimpse narrowly at Brighton earlier this tear and is now better off at the weights so could go well at a decent price, although Brooke Sanders' filly is certainly the more consistent performer. Tregarron has shaped well on both starts this year, but there is a suspicion that this sharp track might not suit him. Tony The Tap has been runner-up in four of his last five starts, three of them when favourite, but he seems to be genuine and has basically been unlucky enough to come up against improving horses each time. Tonight's opposition looks slightly more exposed, and we'll give Tony The Tap the vote to score a deserved handicap victory.
