MAD FOR ROAD scored over the course and distance from just 3lb lower in March. He hasn't shown much over timber but looks the one to be on here with his young rider's claim a big help. Juara just managed to get on top in the closing stages two weeks ago when beating Carried a short-head. The runner-up has won since so a follow-up has to be a distinct possibility despite a 7lb rise which should enable fifth-placed Habesh to get closer. Vim put in a better effort behind Mosman Park last month and wouldn't need to improve much to get involved from his very lowly mark and Trans City, who was staying on stoutly, will appreciate this longer trip. Armed Guard is still a maiden but has dropped so far in the ratings that it wouldn't be a shock if he finally got off the mark.
