Verdict

The race won by Atlas Peak from STERLING COOPER and Mea Parvitas last week should have major bearing on the outcome of this. The winner had dropped to a very lowly mark and has been raised 4lb so it's the runner-up who can take revenge as he was making his handicap debut and would have won over today's trip as he was clear entering the final furlong. Indigo Iris had shown ability in the UK and produced her best effort to date for new connections behind Red Laser a couple of weeks ago but Cookie Crumbles, though reasonably consistent, has yet to win a race in 23 starts. Richelieu dropped back to 6f to gain his first victory for a year three weeks ago and is best at that trip.
