In depth

Verdict

Gillian Callaghan wastes no time in bringing out Coldwinters again after he completed a Kilbeggan double on Sunday. A 4lb penalty is no problem though he's looked as though the 3m trip was required for both victories and may find this just on the short side. CLONSILLA AFFAIRS is no youngster but he hasn't had much racing in recent years and has bounced back in fine form. He would probably have found the 2m1f trip too short when scoring at Clonmel but jumped well and stayed on strongly so this looks within his capabilities with his small penalty. Athronan won a point-to-point early last month and made a decent return to hurdling at Cork so he's one to note and Maddoxtown has shown his best form on today's track and trip.
