Verdict

ORDER OF ST GEORGE couldn't quite get to his stablemate Bondi Beach in a Group 3 at the Curragh but that was his first start since October and this looks a perfect stepping-stone to his big targets later including the Voltigeur and St Leger. With Ger Lyons' horses running so well, Chapter Seven looks the one to chase him home as he's been placed at Group level when trained in the UK though he'll do better when getting a bit more give in the ground. Lee Smyth has acquired a smart performer in Shrewd, four times a winner in the UK and an excellent runner-up for the stable at Doncaster last month, while Shamar ran a fine race behind Silver Concorde at Killarney and should be winning soon.
