DESERT AL has had very little racing for his age but won this in 2007 from an 11lbs lower mark. He returned after a long break to score over 5f at Dundalk last month and today's trip is much more to his liking. Edmondstown Lass is still a maiden after 18 starts but looked as though she would be winning soon when runner-up to Jeangeorges at Listowel earlier this month and she's now slipped to a very reasonable mark. Diamond Fire returned to action after a long break with a good run over the C&D late last month and was sent off favourite for a Limerick handicap last week but found little at the business end when looking a threat. He holds Option Be on that earlier running here and the latter has still to get on the scoresheet after 28 starts.
