In depth

Verdict

ROLLING ACES can take this for Paul Nicholls as he looked a cracking prospect when scoring at Wincanton and Newbury last December then appeared to find Kempton too tight on quicker ground in February. Tofino Bay is a Grade 2 winner and a real staying type who was just touched off in the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham. Oscars Well has been coming up against the best novices and makes a quick reappearance after a fine second to Twinlight at Naas on Monday. Dedigout, runner-up to Realt Mor in a Fairyhouse Grade 1 in March when Buckers Bridge was behind, appeared to be feeling the effects of his subsequent fall when trailing home at Killarney in May. Toner D'Oudairies is going from strength to strength and his latest victory over Roi De Mee in a Grade 3 at Punchestown makes him an obvious danger to all.
