In depth

Verdict

After an adequate debut behind Moonlit Garden over 6f here when in need of the run, Master Of Hounds was just touched off by Dunboyne Express over this trip at Leopardstown. The pair were well clear and Aidan O'Brien's colt should do better than stablemate Roderic O'Connor, who was five lengths back in third. Brittany and Robin Hood, the other two Ballydoyle entries, should be noted for the future while Kevin Prendergast's yard is in good form and the Medicean colt Tashqeel is bred for this trip. John Oxx is doubly represented and though His Excellency is one to keep an eye on it's VELESGO who is the more interesting. The son of Dansili is a close relative of some high-class performers including Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Halfway To Heaven and is taken to make a winning start.
