Verdict

Aidan O'Brien had seven newcomers entered at the early stage and relies on Five Star General, a son of High Chaparral out of a winning miler, and Rip Van Winkle's brother ILLUSIVE, who should prove best of the pair at this stage and gets the vote to make a winning start. Leafcutter made a bright start here in June and started odds-on at Galway but didn't look enthusiastic in the closing stages and was beaten by Iniesta. He should do better as should Centre Of Interest, who caught the eye behind Agena at Leopardstown a week ago. No Wunder has been well beaten on both starts to date and will need to improve.
