Verdict

There are many interesting types in opposition here, all of whom have been absent for some time. Paul Nicholls usually winds his string up steadily but HARRY THE VIKING does hold an advantage over his rivals with the benefit of a fine effort over C&D to his name when second in the spring. He'd probably have scored but for a mistake at the last and can make amends. Forgotten Gold looked sure to be suited by this trip when second in a Cork bumper in the spring and his new yard had a winner at Carlisle this week. Wheres Wal and Flying Vic represent the Williams and Vaughan teams respectively and neither can be ignored with both yards remaining in fine form. Saint Luke needs to improve on his reappearance and keep on eye out for Philip Hobbs' French import Tanin.
