In depth

Verdict

Dante's Diamond looks the best option in a very weak finale, Epicurean and Grandma Ryta appear to be the obvious dangers. Alan Swinbank's gelding showed the first signs of form this season when finishing second to Malcheek in a Thirsk handicap. That was off a mark of 68 and the form should be good enough to see off these rivals. Epicurean is making her racecourse debut and this well bred daughter of Pursuit Of Love will not have to be anything special to win here. Watch the betting market for any clues regarding James Given's filly. Grandma Ryta is only rated 40 so does look up against it this afternoon, however she still looks best of the remainder. So with only a debutante to worry about, Dante's Diamond looks the one to be on.
