    Verdict

A very ordinary contest that can go to Carry On Doc, with both Dark Raider and Delightfully possibles for the frame. The selection has been campaigned entirely over seven furlongs so far, but being by Dr Devious he should easily be able to handle the step up to a mile and there may be plenty more to come over a trip. A length third to Andaluza at Wolverhampton last time, it is fair to say that he has not set the world alight, but he should handle the fast ground and can outstay the others. Dark Raider will be fancied by some after his soft ground second to Citrine Spirit at Nottingham last time. However, being by Definite Article it is unlikely that he will be better suited by this firm ground and he could end up being rushed off his feet. The same can be said of Delightfully, who is a daughter of Definite Article and probably needs easier ground to be at her best. Nevertheless both that pairing are the best alternatives to the selection on what they have achieved, so we are more than happy to stick with Carry On Doc to provide the perfect medicine.
