Annatalia could provide the answer here but Danzili Bay, Averting, Blakeshall Hope and Mulberry Lad are others also worthy of consideration. The Brian Meehan-trained selection showed promise over the minimum trip when fourth at Sandown on her debut and was then sent to The Curragh for the Goffs Challenge, where she ran well but the six-and-a-half furlong trip may have found her out as there is plenty of speed in her pedigree. Back at five furlongs today, she looks set to go well. There is plenty to like in Danzili Bay's breeding and he could be interesting if supported in the betting. Averting cost 14,000 guineas and is also one to look out for in the betting, and Blakeshall Hope appeared to show plenty of promise on his debut behind one of Sir Michael Stoute's and can go well again, despite being dropped in trip today. Dove Cottage is improving for racing and, if he settles better than he did last time, cannot be ruled out of a place, while Willie Muir's Mulberry Lad was not beaten too far on his debut and is entitled to come on for that run so cannot be ruled out of things. Overall, though, in an interesting opener, we will side with Annatalia.
