Verdict

Points winner OSCATARA was sent off favourite for his debut under Rules in an Aintree bumper in October. He only managed fifth place but showed enough to suggest there would be plenty of improvement once he tackled hurdles and he gets his chance to underline that theory here. Billy Twyford was second on his hurdling debut at Exeter and has plenty of scope for improvement but Best Director and Wake Your Dreams may need their first run over obstacles. Josies Orders has shown signs of ability and looks a better bet than stablemate Old Pals Act.
