A fantastically competitive renewal of this cavalry charge can go to Mine, who is weighted to reverse recent form with Autumn Glory, who is a lightly raced sort that has also got to be a leading fancy. Others at bigger odds to place on the shortlist include: Uhoomagoo, who is in the form of his life and will no doubt be a popular choice to make the frame after finally proving himself at this sort of trip when winning at Epsom last time. While Polar Bear and Putra Kuantan are others that are open to improvement and also have to come into the reckoning now they have stepped things up again this season. It would also be foolhardy to rule out a bold bid from the improving Vortex, who has been a revelation since switching to turf at the start of the season. Frankie Dettori's presence will ensure that he comes in for his share of support and it will not be surprising to see his odds shorten just before the off. The draw, as ever though, is an imponderable at this meeting, so in making our selection, we choose to side with experience in fields of this size. Which brings us back to Mine, who has run a blinder on his last two visits to this course. The amount of opposition obviously does not affect the six-year-old entire, as he likes to weave his way through as things unfold. Which bodes well with the booking of Richard Quinn, who has already been successful with the selection this season. Ante Post favourite Autumn Glory has been plenty short enough in the betting for a while now. But is an obvious danger to Mine even though he will need to post a much improved performance from a 9lb higher mark.
