Verdict

Winning form is at a bit of a premium here so on the premise that success breeds success we'll side with PSEUDONYM to defy a penalty and score with Oscar Jack and Solway Bay also in with big chances. The pick romped to victory in a similar race last time in a style which suggested he should be able to overcome the seven pound extra on his back this time. Jockey Charlie Poste is a more than capable conditional and with this one having won under higher burdens in the past he should run a big race. Oscar Jack took a weak novice hurdle three starts ago and followed that up with a decent effort under a penalty in a handicap. His latest effort was also solid enough in a decent race and now five pounds lighter he is weighted to be involved under a star of the future. Solway Bay has been going well in novice races of late but looks to need a reprieve from the handicapper before scoring while Moonlit Path's mark is difficult to assess after just three starts. More trappy stuff in store where the selection lands in the saddle of Pseudonym.
