John Gosden is looking to give Western Hymn and Eagle Top their seasonal debuts at Sandown.

Western Hymn, a Group Three winner over the Esher course last spring and fourth in the QIPCO Champion Stakes, is likely to start off in the bet365 Gordon Richards Stakes on Friday.

Eagle Top, who took the Group Two King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot before finishing fourth in the King George And Queen Elizabeth Stakes, is being prepared for the Cantor Fitzgerald Brigadier Gerard Stakes on May 28.

"Western Hymn worked well on Friday morning," said the Newmarket trainer.

"He is being pointed towards what is looking like a hot renewal of the Gordon Richards Stakes. He is a very talented horse, though.
