Alben Star will make his return to competitive action in the Unibet Cleves Stakes at Lingfield on Saturday.
Richard Fahey's seven-year-old has proved a real moneyspinner for connections, winning the All-Weather Sprint Final last year and finishing placed in races like the Wokingham and the Stewards' Cup.
In order to qualify again for the Good Friday bonanza, Fahey needs to get him back on the track for the first time since finishing down the field behind Gordon Lord Byron at Ascot last October.
"All being well, Alben Star will go to Lingfield on Saturday," said Fahey.
"He has had a holiday since Ascot, which he was entitled to because he was on the go for over a year, and seems in good shape.
"He needs to run three times to qualify for Finals Day and there are only three races left he can run in, so he has to run at the weekend."
Among his possible rivals are Andrew Balding's Intransigent, Glen Moss, Foxtrot Romeo, Rivellino and Hallelujah.
