Ambitious young trainer Michael O'Callaghan has received a significant boost after powerhouse owner Sheikh Fahad doubled his interest in the yard by snapping up Letters Of Note to run in his silks alongside Aggression.

Having run a promising race to finish fourth in a Leopardstown maiden last September, Letters Of Note made a flying start to her three-year-old career when bolting up at Dundalk last month to leave her trainer dreaming of a potential Classic tilt.

Her next objective will be the Leopardstown 1,000 Guineas Trial in April, in which she will carry the colours of Sheikh Fahad's Pearl Bloodstock silks.

O'Callaghan said: "She came out of the race in Dundalk well and we think she's a very good filly.

"I always thought a lot of her last year, which is why we ran in a backend maiden at Leopardstown and she ran a good race. She was just a bit green on the day.

"We were delighted with her the other day and I said afterwards the French 1,000 Guineas was the dream target, but she'll have to step up to the mark.

"She'll probably go for the Guineas Trial in Leopardstown next and we'll see where we are after that.

"If she proves she's good enough I think the French Guineas would suit her as she has so much speed and the French style of racing would suit her."

Aggression, made a winning start to his career at Dundalk in December, will run under Sheikh Fahad's Qatar Racing banner and O'Callaghan feels he is a sprinter with a bright future ahead.

"He's a horse with a lot of raw speed. We've never had him off the bridle at home as we've nothing that can lead him," said the trainer.

"He showed that when he won at Dundalk as he got left five or six lengths at the start and ended up going by the other horses as if they were standing still.

"I think sprinters need to learn to sprint and he's only a three-year-old, so we'll probably start him off against his own age group and see how far we can go.

"To have an owner like Sheikh Fahad in the yard is fantastic. We already have a lot of great owners, but to have someone like that coming in just gives everyone involved a huge boost and will hopefully help us go to another level."
