Sire De Grugy set to resume cantering

Sire De Grugy is set to resume cantering on Monday as the Queen Mother Champion Chase hero continues to make progress from a hip injury that has kept him off the track so far this season.

Trainer Gary Moore has been so pleased with his stable star's condition that he feels Sire De Grugy may not need to undergo a scan.

The eight-year-old was ridden last week for the first time since the injury, and Moore believes the time is right to step up his work.

"He hasn't had his scan yet. We don't know whether we are going to have a scan or not," said Moore.
