Rajdhani Express will skip an engagement at Aintree on Saturday and instead head to Huntingdon for Sunday's Betfred Peterborough Chase.
Nicky Henderson's charge was an excellent third in the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival in the spring, but did not get the new campaign off to the best of starts when unseating Sam Waley-Cohen in the Old Roan Chase at Aintree.
He did at least complete the course in last month's Amlin 1965 Chase at Ascot and will take up another big-race assignment this weekend.
Owner Robert Waley-Cohen said: "The plan is to run in the Peterborough. It looks a good race, but we'll give it a go and see what happens."
