The Grey Gatsby could get the chance to gain his revenge over Golden Horn in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp in October.

Kevin Ryan's four-year-old matched the Epsom Derby winner for a long way in the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown on Saturday before Golden Horn eventually stretched three and a half lengths clear in receipt of 11lb.

The Juddmonte International at York on August 19, in which he was second to Australia last season, has again been identified by Ryan as the colt's next assignment.

The Grey Gatsby is then expected to defend his title in the Qipco Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown in September, after which another showdown with Golden Horn might be on the cards.

North Yorkshire-based Ryan said: "He's come out of it great.

"We were surprised he didn't lose much weight as we thought he'd lose more.
