A trip to Royal Ascot could be next on the agenda for Devonshire following her tremendous effort in the Irish 1,000 Guineas on Sunday.

Having filled the runner-up spot in two trials for the Curragh Classic at Leopardstown, the Godolphin-owned filly was supplemented for yesterday's Group One feature and that decision was fully vindicated as she held on for a close third behind Pleascach and hot favourite Found.

Trainer Willie McCreery will discuss plans with the owners before firming up the three-year-old's next target, but she could be Berkshire-bound next month.

McCreery said: "She ran a blinder and the better ground seemed to suit her.

"You couldn't ask for any more from her, so we're delighted.

"I haven't had a chance to speak to the owners yet and we'll wait and see how she comes out of the race, but we'll probably be looking at something at Royal Ascot for her."
