A review of Wednesday's action at Beverley, where Bondi Beach Boy gave Jim Turner his first winner of the season.

Bondi Beach Boy overcame what was a potentially tricky draw to give trainer Jim Turner his first winner of the season in division one of the totepool Supporting The ROA Owners Jackpot Handicap.

Turner's inmate was forced to come from off the pace from stall eight but he grabbed the gutsy Sunny Side Up to score by three-quarters of a length under Northumberland Plate-winning jockey George Chaloner.

Turner said of his 4/1 chance: "None of our horses have been right, and we had to chuck them out (into a field).

"He (Bondi Beach Boy) is a good eater, but even he was off his grub and I couldn't run him.

"It's nice to see him back and he loves it here. Beverley has always been a lucky track for us and is not too far away.

"All being well, he'll go to Pontefract next Thursday."
