Qualifier Pablo Cuevas sealed his second ATP singles title of the month with a 6-3 6-4 victory over defending champion Tommy Robredo in the final of the Croatia Open in Umag on Sunday.

Both players were playing their second match of the day after a coastal storm led to Saturday's play being cancelled, meaning the semi-finals - with Cuevas beating top seed Fabio Fognini and Robredo seeing off Marin Cilic - rolled over until the final day.

For world number 60 Cuevas, the result capped off an unforgettable July in which he claimed the first two titles of his career, with his success in Umag coming hot on the heels of beating Joao Sousa in the final of the Swedish Open.

The 28-year-old fired 26 winners during the match, forcing nine break points and taking three of them as a tiring Robredo, the second seed in Umag, made life difficult for himself with 36 unforced errors.
