Current world darts champion Michael van Gerwen believes fellow Dutchman Louis van Gaal will improve Manchester United.
Van Gerwen, who beat Scotland’s Peter Wright in the World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace in January, is a long-term admirer of the former Netherlands head coach.
Van Gerwen believes no-one expected Van Gaal to take the Dutch to the World Cup semi-finals this summer and the achievement was testament to the man.
"Outside of his words, he's a brilliant coach – one of the best. Everyone can see that," Van Gerwen said.
"No one gave him anything for this World Cup and he did it - he got them to the semi-final.
"But not only that he has worked for all the big teams and now he is jumping into a big task at Man United. He will make them better - I know he will."
