Red Devils striker damages ankle ligaments at Villa
Sir Alex Ferguson believes Javier Hernandez could be out of action for a month after damaging ankle ligaments against Aston Villa.
The Mexico international collapsed in a heap untouched in the Red Devils' 1-0 win inside the first ten minutes on Saturday.
Hernandez was stretchered off in some pain and it had been feared the 23-year-old could be facing a lengthy spell out.
Ferguson does not believe the striker will not be missing for more than a month and remains confident he has the numbers to cope.
"It's torn ligaments in the ankle, he could be out for about four weeks," Ferguson commented.
"We are having a bad time with injuries at the moment but it's just as well we have a strong squad."
