Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho remains confident that his side will qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League, despite their loss at home to Basel.

The Portuguese boss took the blame for Chelsea's defeat on the night and having been beaten at Everton in the Premier League last weekend, he now takes his team into the Saturday Night Football clash at home to Fulham looking to avoid a third defeat in a row. "I am the manager, I am responsible for everything - especially after a bad result," Mourinho told Sky Sports immediately after the match. "In the good moments, I want everyone to shine. In the bad moments, I want everyone to keep calm. "Tomorrow, I will not wake up with a smile on my face but at seven o'clock, I will work hard to get three points against Fulham." Chelsea were in front at half-time courtesy of Oscar's strike but were undone in the space of 11 second-half minutes as Mohamed Salah and Marco Streller turned the scoreline around. Asked where it had gone wrong, Mourinho added: "I think in the first half they defended well because we had a lot of the ball but could not create many chances. "Oscar scored at a good time for us and then I think they scored their equaliser at our best moment of the game, after we had a couple of good opportunities, and after that we were punished defensively."
