Midfielder commits to Dutch champions

PSV Eindhoven have secured the future of teenage midfielder Ismail Aissati until 2011. Aissati was recently linked with a switch to arch-rivals Ajax as PSV struggled to reach an agreement on a contract extension. The 19-year-old's previous deal was due to expire in 2009, with the Dutch champions keen to prolong that arrangement until 2013. A compromise has now been reached, with Aissati happy to be given a chance in the team following the departure of previous coach Ronald Koeman. "The technical board spoke about a lot of trust in me and both the trainers that come would like to keep me," Aissati told PSV's official website, with Sef Vergoossen and Huub Stevens due to arrive at Philips Stadion. "Ronald Koeman wasn't very enthusiastic about the young boys, but under Jan Wouters that is different. "He is working with me a lot and I feel that I'm getting the upward tendency again."
