Doll targets new additions

Bundesliga side Hamburg are eyeing Anderlecht's Anthony Vanden Borre.

Bundesliga side Hamburg are eyeing Anderlecht's Anthony Vanden Borre as they seek to bolster their squad for a forthcoming Uefa Cup campaign.

Thomas Doll's side booked their place in Europe following an Intertoto Cup success over Valencia and Doll admitted that he already has several targets in mind.

Doll said: "We are now facing extra matches and should bring in new players.

"We are not forced to start from zero as we are in contact with a couple of people at the moment."

18-year-old right back Vanden Borre would appear to be Hamburg's primary target, however the player may tempted to remain in the Belgian capital particularly as Anderlecht have secured their place in the UEFA Champions League after a 4-1 aggregate victory over Slavia Prague.
