Lazovic leaves Bayer

Danko Lazovic is on his way back to Feyenoord after failing to cut any ice at Bayer Leverkusen.

The Serbian attacker was farmed out on loan to the German side at the start of the season, but Bayer have been unimpressed and opted to send him back to Rotterdam.

Lazovic is unlikely to see much action under Erwin Koeman at De Kuip and could be moved on once again in January.

Ron Vlaar, meanwhile, has expressed delight at securing a move to Feyenoord.

The Dutch international defender sealed the formalities of his move from AZ Alkmaar after passing a medical and is looking to hit the ground running.

"I realise I have to show what I can do from day one in Rotterdam," he told Feyenoord's website.

Vlaar came close to securing a move to Tottenham before opting for Feyenoord and is happy to have sorted out his future.

"After a period in which I was faced with other things than football it is now nice to know where I'm going," he added. "I can hardly wait until the first training session."
