Midfielder quashes Bayern talk

Juventus midfielder Diego has reiterated his desire to stay at the club, despite speculation linking him with Bayern Munich. The 25-year-old Brazil international reportedly does not fit into new manager Luigi Del Neri's plans in Turin and could leave the Serie A outfit this summer. Bayern Munich director Christian Nerlinger claimed that eight different agents have offered him the player's services, something that the former Werder Bremen star denies. Diego insists that he wants to remain with Juve and quashed the claims made by Nerlinger. "I want to stay at Juventus to redeem myself by having a great season," he said.

Not true

"I don't know why (Bayern) have said this, it's not true. It was Bayern who wanted me, as everyone knows, last year when Juventus were dealing with Werder. "As everyone knows, my agent is my father. If other agents are offering me to other teams this does not reflect the reality of the facts. "I am happy at Juventus and I want to stay at this club until the end of my contract. I don't understand Nerlinger's comments. "I am concentrating with my team and I am certain of being able to give a lot of happiness to the Juventus fans."
