Adams to sign permanent contract at Spotland

Rochdale have secured the futures of three players on new contracts and have also agreed a permanent deal for Nicky Adams. Midfielder Jason Kennedy has signed a two-year extension to stay at Spotland until 2013, Matt Done will now be at Dale for the rest of the season, while goalkeeper Matt Edwards has agreed a month-to-month contract. Dale boss Keith Hill is happy to have resolved the contract situations of the players ahead of the New Year's Day game at home to Tranmere Rovers. Hill told the club's official website: "Jason is the type of player that I want at the club under my management and I am delighted that he has committed his future to the club. "Matt (Done) has had limited opportunities but when he has come on or started a match he has done well and has earned this extension to his contract." Meanwhile, midfielder Adams will turn his loan deal from Brentford into a permanent arrangement at Rochdale on New Year's Day. Chief executive Colin Garlick said: "It has been a busy week with the paperwork on the three players signed so far, the Nicky Adams deal should be completed on New Year's Day and I expect to be busy during the transfer window with some 'shape shifting' in the squad as well as new signings."
