Premier League: Leicester defender Marcin Wasilewski avoids FA action

Leicester defender Marcin Wasilewski will face no punishment from the FA following a clash with West Brom striker Saido Berahino.

The England U21 international claimed Wasilewski had deliberately elbowed him in the second half of Albion's 1-0 win at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

But the FA has ruled that as the incident took place while both players battled for the ball, referee Stuart Attwell and his officials were likely to have seen it and therefore ruled it unworthy of retrospective action.

Leicester midfielder Esteban Cambiasso scored an own goal two minutes into the second half to consign Nigel Pearson's side to their third league defeat in a row.

See how West Brom get on in their next Premier League match.

Alan Irvine’s side face Newcastle at The Hawthorns in the opening game of Super Sunday, with coverage beginning on Sky Sports 1 HD at 12:30pm.
