QPR are interested in signing Standard Liege winger Paul-Jose M’Poku, according to Sky sources.

The Belgian, who was at Tottenham Hotspur as a trainee, has impressed since moving to back to his homeland in 2011 and now looks set to be offered a second chance in the Premier League.

M'Poku left Standard Liege to join up with Tottenham Hotspur in 2008 - aged just 16 – but was unable to make the desired impact at White Hart lane and was sold back to Standard three years later for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old has made 18 appearances for Belgium’s U21 team, scoring four goals, while he managed 10 in 33 appearances for Liege last season.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp is keen to reinforce his squad – which has slipped to 19th in the Premier League – but had previously stated loan deals were his priority.

Argentinian forward Mauro Zarate has already arrived at Loftus Road on loan from West Ham and Redknapp is keen to further boost his attacking options before the window closes.
