Sheffield Wednesday have recalled Caolan Lavery from his loan spell at Chesterfield two months early.
The 22-year-old striker was expected to stay with the Spireites until the end of the season having extended his initial deal. However, an injury to Will Keane during the Owls' 1-1 draw with Fulham on Saturday has prompted the Championship side to bring Lavery back to Hillsborough. He scored three goals for Chesterfield having replaced Eoin Doyle, who left for Cardiff in a big-money transfer on deadline day.
