Palace striker one of six to get new deals but nine players released

Crystal Palace have offered striker Shefki Kuqi a new contract along with five other players at Selhurst Park. Neil Warnock has also offered new deals to Alesanne N'Diaye and Rhoys Wiggins, while second year scholars Michael Abnett, Nathaniel Pinney and Hakeem Adelakun have been handed professional terms. The Eagles boss is looking to overhaul his squad during the summer after his side finished a disappointing 15th in the Championship, 17 points off the play-off pack. The cull seems to have started early after the club confirmed that Warnock had allowed nine players to be released. Ryan Carolan, James Dayton, Carl Fletcher, Scott Flinders, Paul Ifill, John Oster, James Scowcroft, Jamie Smith and David Wilkinson are all now looking for new clubs. Second year scholars Graeme Edwards and Kieron Thorp have not done enough to be offered new contracts and both have been released.
