Fifa president Sepp Blatter felt Ludovic Giuly's goal against Arsenal in Wednesday's UEFA Champions League final should have stood.Barcelona thought they had taken the lead after 20 minutes against The Gunners when Giuly rolled home after Jens Lehmann brought down Samuel Eto'o.
However, referee Terje Hauge opted against allowing the goal and gave Barca a free-kick on the edge of the box after sending off Lehmann.
Blatter felt the Norwegian official rushed the decision and in hindsight should have allowed Giuly's strike to stand.
Although Arsenal took the lead through Sol Campbell's powerful header, Frank Rijkaard's side fought back late on to claim a 2-1 thanks to goals from Eto'o and Juliano Belletti.
"My opinion is that, when in certain actions - and not only in front of the goalmouth, but everywhere - he should let the advantage, finish the action and then he can come back and whistle," he told BBC Radio Five Live.
"He was too fast."
