Brendan Rodgers is confident Liverpool's top players will stay at the club despite a lack of UEFA Champions League football.
The Reds will not play in Europe's premier competition again this season after only finishing eighth in the Premier League under Kenny Dalglish, and speculation has suggested there could be a couple of departures.
However, Rodgers insists there is no reason for fans to worry as he fully expects to keep hold of all his main men this summer.
"I am very confident in relation to the conversations I have had," the Northern Irishman told
Sky Sports News.
Rodgers accepts that he would be prepared to let anyone go who was not convinced by his vision for the future, as he wants to help Liverpool get back to the top of the game.
Sell the dream
Asked how he could keep players happy when they are hungry to play in the Champions League, Rodgers added: "You can only sell the dream going forward. The reality is there is a lot of nostalgia about this club, and I have seen that in my early time here, but what is important is going forward.
"Of course the club isn't in the Champions League and the top players want to play at that level, but hopefully in the next coming years we can strive to get towards that.
"If that is not enough for a player then they will go, it is as simple as that."
Luis Suarez has been linked with a switch to Juventus but Rodgers has reiterated that he is hopeful of keeping the Uruguayan after holding positive talks.
"I have spoken to him but focused very much on the future in terms of what I believe he can bring to how we are going to play," Rodgers explained.
"He was fantastic, very open, and I think he was impressed with how we played last season."
