Latics shun offer from European champions
Wigan Athletic have rejected an offer from European champions Chelsea for forward Victor Moses, Sky Sports can reveal.
The 21-year-old Nigeria international has just 12 months left on his current deal and has so far shunned Wigan's advances over an extension.
A host of clubs are known to be tracking the former Crystal Palace man, who scored six goals in 37 league games last term - playing mainly on the wing.
Now Chelsea have decided to make their move and have lodged a bid with the Lancashire club, but that has already been rejected.
Sky Sports understands that the offer fell short of Wigan's valuation of the player but Chelsea are expected to continue talks.
A number of rival Premier League clubs are believed to be monitoring the situation.
