City eye Muirhead

BEN MUIRHEAD has been handed the chance to earn a move to Bradford City, as his days with Manchester United look numbered.

The 20-year-old winger has always had a precocious talent, but, like so many youngsters at Old Trafford, has failed to make the breakthrough with The Red Devils.

After returning from a loan spell with hometown club Doncaster Rovers, he has been unable to get beyond the United reserve side, and looks likely to try his luck in the Nationwide League in the near future.

Bradford are the latest club to take a look at Muirhead, who was on trial with Queens Park Rangers in 2001, as he will figure in the reserve team clash against Aston Villa.

The Bantams are also running the rule over Michael Simpkins, a 24-year-old defender who has been freed by Cardiff City, and Canadian international Brad Parker.
